Filed to ESPN: Andrew Luck has informed the Colts he is retiring from the NFL, per source. There will be a press conference Sunday to make it official, but Luck is mentally worn down, and now checking out.

Luck 29 years old and has thrown for 23,671 yards in his career.
Hailed as perhaps the greatest quarterback prospect ever, Luck was drafted with the first overall pick in 2012 by the Colts and has made 4 pro bowls.
