Just like every other NFL team, the Detroit Lions have been bitten by the injury bug this season. However, as the team prepares to make a playoff push Detroit will get some long needed relief in terms of getting players healthy.

The Lions could definitely use some help on the offensive line and activating Taylor Decker and Corey Robinson will help.

Decker, the #16 pick overall in the 2016 draft, has been a workhorse for Detroit. As a rookie, he started all 16 games with the Lions and helped protect the blind side of Matthew Stafford as the left tackle. In order to complete this move, Detroit waived wide receiver, Jace Billingsley.

Robinson is probably not quite healthy enough yet to return to regular playing time for Detroit. A 7th round draft pick, Robinson was sidelined with a foot injury this season. Hopefully, the 6/7″ 340+ pounder can get back to full strength as he was showing some potential in limited action at right tackle prior to being injured.

The remaining regular season schedule looks very favorable for Detroit. Getting these important players back from injured reserve will help as the Lions prepare for the playoffs.

REPORT: A trio of Detroit Lions expected to miss Sunday’s game vs. Browns

Let’s face it, not many people believe the Detroit Lions will have a let down this coming Sunday and lose to the winless Cleveland Browns. After all, the Lions are clearly the better team and they have the home-field advantage (though that has not been very helpful for them this season).

According to a report from the Detroit News, if the Lions want to handle their business and come away with a win over the Browns, they are going to have to do so without a trio of players.

On Friday, OL T.J. Lang (concussion), DE Ezekiel Ansah (back), and LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin (angle) all missed the final practice of the week, which means they are likely to be inactive for Sunday’s game.
