According to reports, the Detroit Lions will host former BYU quarterback Tanner Mangum for a minicamp tryout.
I'm pulling for @tannermangum to get a real shot when he makes his scheduled minicamp visits to the Detroit Lions and the Oakland Raiders. It would be a fantastic finish for an incredible individual if he's able to make it in the NFL.

During his final season with the Cougars, Mangum completed 61.3% of his passes 1,104 yards and five touchdowns.
Mangum burst onto the scene at BYU during his freshman season in 2015 when he completed 267 of 446 passes for 3,377 yards and 23 touchdowns.

From Draft Analyst:
Pos:Â
Oft-injured quarterback who positively affects the game when on the field. Displays outstanding vision and patience and commands and controls the offense. Effectively sells ball fakes and shows great instincts and a sixth sense on the field. Goes to the checkdown receiver if nothing else is available. Displays good timing on throws and does not make receivers wait for the ball.
Neg:Â
Loses significant accuracy when he throws on the move. Cannot withstand the rush despite his size. Has a long injury history, which will raise red flags.
Analysis:Â
Mangum was very productive when on the field. He was constantly sidelined by injury and may not get a camp invite this summer as a result.
