One of Bob Quinn’s biggest successes so far as GM of the Detroit Lions was drafting Taylor Decker in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. During his first season with the Lions, the rookie left tackle did not miss a single snap and performed admirably.

Now it looks like the Lions could very well be without Decker to start the 2017 regular season as he injured his shoulder last week in practice.

Though head coach Jim Caldwell believes that Decker will play at some point in the season, he was noncommittal to putting a timetable on his return.

From MLive:

“Anytime that you’ve had surgery, you just don’t know details (about) how long it actually takes,” Caldwell said. “Like I said, we’ll update you in the fall.”

With Decker out, the Lions will have to decide who will start at LT when the season begins.
