BREAKING: Detroit Lions reveal new play-by-play announcer

With Matt Shepard doing the play-by-play for the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Lions were forced to find a new person to call their preseason games.

That person is none other than Fred McLeod, who is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Lions announced on Tuesday that McCleod has been added to their preseason broadcast team on FOX 2.

As noted by the Lions, McLeod has served as the play-by-play TV announcer for the Cleveland Cavaliers since the 2006-2007 season and held the same role with the Detroit Pistons for 22 seasons.

It will be great to hear McLeod calling Detroit sports once again!
