BREAKING: Detroit Lions sign free agent WR Jermaine Kearse (UPDATED with contract details)

According to reports, the Detroit Lions are signing former New York Jets‘ receiver Jermaine Kearse.

Kearse, who had previously met with the Lions and left without getting a deal done, started nine games for the Jets in 2018, catching 37 passes for 371 yards and a touchdown.

In 99 career games, Kearse has 255 catches for 3,290 yards and 17 touchdowns.

His best season came in 2017 when he had 65 catches for 810 yards and 5 tds.

It is also important to note that Kearse, who is 29, spent five seasons (2012-2016) in Seattle with new Lions' OC Darrell Bevell, so he will be familiar with the offense.
