BREAKING: Detroit Lions sign quarterback, waive Connor Cook

According to reports, the Detroit Lions have waived former Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook and have signed quarterback David Fales.

In addition, the Lions have signed OL Luke Bowanko and have waived S David Jones.

Fales, who played his college ball at San Jose State, was originally selected by the Chicago Bears in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Since then, he has also played for the Miami Dolphins. In three career games (0 starts), Fales has completed 29 of 43 passes for 265 yards and a touchdown (1 interception).
