BREAKING: Detroit Lions trade Rams for offensive tackle Greg Robinson

According to reports, the Detroit Lions have made a move to soften the blow of losing their starting left tackle Taylor Decker to injury as they have traded the Los Angeles Rams for an offensive tackle.

In the deal, the Lions get Greg tackle Greg Robinson for a sixth-round draft pick in 2018.

In addition to the Robinson trade, the Lions also signed free agent tackle Cyrus Kouandjio. He was a second-round pick in the 2014 draft but never really panned out, starting only seven games in three years with the Buffalo Bills.

To make room for Robinson and Kouandjio, the Lions have waived long snapper Jimmy Landes and tackle Arturo Uzdavinis.

Robinson, who was drafted No. 2 overall by the Rams in 2014, has started 42 of 46 games at LT/LG since entering the league. He became expendable for the Rams as he was behind Jamin Brown on the depth chart.

  1. Most penalized player last two years in NFL. Coaches frustrated with mental mistakes. Not sure this is going to help much.
