This coming Sunday, the Detroit Lions will take on the Cincinnati Bengals in what has turned out to be a must-win game for the Lions. With a win, the Lions would move to 9-6 on the season and keep their slim NFL Playoff hopes alive for another week.

On Wednesday, the Lions released their initial injury report for Week 16 and as you can see below, DE Dwight Freeney(not injury related), G T.J. Lang (foot), and C Travis Swanson (concussion) all missed practice completely. In addition, T Rick Wagner was limited in practice with an injured ankle.

On the bright side, running back Theo Riddick was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, despite aggravating his wrist in last Saturday’s win over the Chicago Bears.

As far as the Bengals go, their initial injury list is much longer than the Lions. Most notable are LB Vontaze Burfict not practicing at all with a concussion and rookie running back Joe Mixon participating fully in Wednesday’s practice.

According to Bovada, the Lions are currently a 5.5 point road favorite over the Bengals, who are already eliminated from playoff contention.
