When it rains, it pours.
The Detroit Tigers have had plenty of injuries so far this season and now that injury bug has struck the No. 1 prospect in their minor league system, Casey Mize.
The video below shows Mize throwing a pitch in the bottom of the third inning and then leaving the game with an apparent injury.
Casey Mize has just been taken out of the game. Catcher Kade Scivicque saw something, and brought everybody with him. Not good… not good at all. pic.twitter.com/uHtVegvlxV

At this point, there has been no update as to what injury Mize suffered but we sure hope it is something minor.
According to reports, Mize’s velocity was “noticeably down” in the third inning, before he finally left the game.
Casey Mize's velocity was noticeably down in the third inning. He faced two batters, walking the second, then called his catcher out. His night is done. #phillies

Heading into Thursday’s game, Mize had gone 8-0 with a 0.95 ERA to go along with a microscopic 0.69 WHIP in 75.2 innings of work.
