On Saturday night, the Detroit Tigers fell to the Kansas City Royals and following the conclusion of the game, they announced they are optioning RHP Eduardo Jimenez to Triple A Toledo.

In a corresponding move, RHP Victor Alcantara will be ininstated from the 10-day Injured List.
