According to the Detroit Tigers, they have placed infielder Jordy Mercer on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 8, with a right quad strain. In a corresponding move, rookie OF Christin Stewart has been reinstated from the IL.

Mercer joins Josh Harrison, Jordan Zimmermann, Blaine Hardy, Matt Moore (out for season), and Michael Fulmer (out for season) on the Tigers’ injured list.
