The Trevor Rosenthal experiment has officially come to an end.
According to the Detroit Tigers, they designated Rosenthal for assignment following Wednesday’s game against the Chicago White Sox.
Following today’s game, the Tigers designated RHP Trevor Rosenthal for assignment. Additionally, RHP Eduardo Jiménez has been optioned to Triple A Toledo. Corresponding roster moves will be announced prior to tomorrow’s game.

In nine games with the Tigers, Rosenthal posted a 5.40 ERA in 8.1 innings of work out of the bullpen.
