For those of you who have been waiting patiently for this to arrive, you will have to wait a little longer as the Detroit Tigers have announced that Opening Day has been canceled.

Opening Day will now take place tomorrow at 1:10 p.m. so if you have tickets make sure to hold on to them. If you cannot make it, “all paid tickets for today’s game will be honored for Friday’s game or can be exchanged for any future regular season game in the next 12 months.”

This marks the second consecutive year the Tigers have been rained out on Opening Day. One year ago, their opener against the Chicago White Sox was also postponed.

He was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Reds in early March, only to suffer the same fate days later and eventually get claimed by the Oakland Athletics. But Oakland also released Labourt just two days after picking him up.
