According to Reports, the Detroit Tigers have signed free agent picture Chris Smith to a minor-league deal.
Smith spent part of the 2018 season with the Washington Nationals organization.
His last stint in major-league baseball came in 2017 when he pitched in 14 games (9 starts) for the Oakland Athletics. In those games most of the 6.79 ERA.
