It may have taken extra innings for the Detroit Tigers to score their first runs of the game, but a 2-run home run by rookie Christin Stewart in the top of the 10th was enough for a 2-0 Opening Day win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
At 7:07 p.m. tonight, the Tigers will take on the Blue Jays again in Game 2 of the 2019 regular season.

As you can see, Grayson Greiner is getting the night off as John Hicks will take over behind the plate. Matthew Boyd will take the mound for the first time this season as he looks to replicate the brilliant outing from Jordan Zimmermann on Opening Day.
