Harold, who is 24-years-old, was selected by the 49ers in the 3rd Round of the 2015 NFL Draft. In three seasons in San Francisco, he has 57 tackles and five sacks in 48 games (25 starts).
According to Sportrac, Harold was going into the final year of the 4-year contract he signed with the 49ers in 2015. He has a base salary of $1,892,000 this season.
Harold was one of the original players to begin kneeling for the national anthem back in 2016 but he has decided to stand moving forward, though he would rather not discuss it.
“I understand why everyone wants to ask the questions, but I just don’t want to get into that right now,” Harold said, per the San Francisco Chronicle. “I’m trying to focus on ball. Me and my wife had the discussion, and we feel it is best right now that I don’t answer those questions and try to stick with ball, if you don’t mind.”
