Ely Hydes, the Detroit Tigersโ fan who caught Albert Pujolsโ 2,000th RBI ball at Thursdayโs game and refused to trade it for memorabilia still has no plans of selling.

Hydesโ original plan was to keep the ball and give it to his child which will soon be born or to his brother who happens to be a big St. Louis Cardinalsโ fan (Pujolsโ former team).
But he has had a change of heart.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Hydes has decided that the ball should either be given to Pujols or given to the Hall of Fame.
From Detroit Free Press:
โNo,โ Ely Hydes, 33, told the Free Press on Friday. โBecause it should either be with Albert Pujols or in the Hall of Fame.โ
Hydes, a third-year law student at Wayne State, said he hasnโt landed on a definite plan for what to do with the historic ball, after he garnered almost as much attention for his somewhat contentious negotiations with the Tigers and Los Angeles Angels, as Pujols did for his milestone feat.
Hydes said he might keep it for his child or give it to his brother, who is a big fan of Pujols and his first team, the St. Louis Cardinals. Or he might give the ball to Pujols and ask him to donate money to Pujolsโ own charity.
โI would say that should be a gesture, but again I donโt put a gun to Pujolsโ head,โ Hydes said with a laugh. โItโs not a threat or anything.
โAnd maybe โ maybe โ a jersey for my brother because heโs such a Cardinals and Pujols fan. But for myself, just whatever.โ
Nation, if you were Hydes, what would you do with the baseball?
