According to the Oakland Athletics, they have designated relief pitcher Fernando Rodney for assignment, potentially ending the veteran’s career.

Rodney, who is 42, has pitched in Major League Baseball of 17 years, including seven seasons with the Detroit Tigers.
In those seven seasons with the Tigers, Rodney posted a 4.28 ERA in 308 games while picking up 70 saves along the way.

Before being designated for assignment, Rodney was 0-2 with a 9.42 ERA in 17 games with the Athletics.
Though you never know, there is a decent chance he has played in his final MLB game.
