According to reports, Justin Verlander is closing in on a 2-year contract with the Houston Astros that is believed to be worth $33 million per season.
According to sources, Justin Verlander and the Astros are moving toward a deal on an extension. It’s believed to be a two-year deal in the $66M range.

Verlander, who is 36, has started 39 games for the Astros since being traded to them by the Detroit Tigers in 2017. In those appearances, JV is 21-9 with a 2.32 ERA and 333 strikeouts in 248 IP.
So, Verlander will be ready to rejoin the Tigers in 2022, right?
