Detroit Lions claim DE Dwight Freeney off waivers

The Detroit Lions defense just added some muscle.

That’s right, future Hall of Famer Dwight Freeney is rejoining a coach he almost won a Super Bowl with.

Freeney played four games for the Seattle Seahawks this season, registering three sacks. The 37-year-old defensive end is in his 16th NFL season, 11 of which were in Indianapolis where he tallied up 107.5 of his 125.5 sacks and 258 of his 284 career tackles.
