Let’s face it, Michigan football is not having a great season so far, especially after Saturday night’s 42-13 loss at the hands of the No. 2 Penn State Nittany Lions. That being said, there is no question about it that the Wolverines draw ratings, no matter what time of day they take the field.

Michigan announced on Monday that their home game on Nov. 4 against P.J. Fleck and the Minnesota Golden Gophers will be a night game and will be broadcast by FOX. The game will kickoff at 7:30 p.m.

This will mark the second time this season that the Wolverines will host a night game at home and their third night game overall. Note: Michigan also played a home night game against Michigan State on Oct. 7 and played a night game at Penn State on Oct. 21.

So far, the Wolverines have not played well after the sun goes down as they lost at home to the Spartans 14-10 and were destroyed by the Nittany Lions 42-13 this past Saturday.

Overall, this will be the fifth night game in Michigan Stadium history with the Wolverines winning three of the four up to this point.

Further proof that Ohio State fans care deeply about Michigan football

All week long, both fans of the Penn State Nittany Lions and Michigan Wolverineseagerly awaited Saturday’s matchup in Happy Valley. It was clearly the biggest college football game of the weekend and there was little doubt it would end up being the highest rated game too.

According to ESPN/ABC programming, Michigan vs. Penn State did draw the biggest TV audience of the weekend as it drew a 4.2 overnight rating.

You would think that the biggest ratings would have come from Michigan and Pennsylvania, right? After all, that is where the biggest portion of the Wolverines and Nittany Lions fan bases are located.

But, that was not the case and once again, we have further evidence that Ohio State fans care more about Michigan than they do their own team.
