On Saturday, the University of Michigan went into Columbus, Ohio with the hopes of dismantling the Ohio State Buckeyes and advancing to the Big Ten Championship game.
Unfortunately, for the Wolverines and their fans, the Buckeyes did not cooperate as they absolutely destroyed Michigan 62-39.
Now, Michigan has learned that defensive end Rashan Gary is leaving for the NFL Draft via a YouTube video posted by Gary, himself.
“I would like to thank my higher powers, my family, the University of Michigan and the students and the fans, but I will be forgoing my senior season to make a dream come true to declare for the draft. Thank you, go Blue!”
With this announcement, it would be surprising to see Gary suit up for the Wolverines in whatever bowl it is they play in.
ESPN’s Paul Finebaum absolutely RIPS Jim Harbaugh following embarrassing defeat
It was an ugly scene at the Horseshoe in Columbus on Saturday – at least, if you were a Michigan Wolverines fan.
The Ohio State Buckeyes ransacked the Wolverines by a 62-39 final score, officially knocking Michigan from playoff contention. This means the fourth year in a row that they’ve failed to qualify for the CFP under head coach Jim Harbaugh, who also dropped to 0-4 against Ohio State.
With the loss, Michigan ended their year with a 10-2 record and a pair of Top 10 teams as the only losses on the season. Meanwhile, Ohio State moves on to face Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship game.
