According to reports, Rochester, Michigan native Jacob Trouba has been traded from the Winnipeg Jets to the New York Rangers for D Neal Pionk and a first round pick.

There had been rumors that Steve Yzerman and the Detroit Red Wings were interested in working out a deal for Trouba.
During the 2018-2019 season, Trouba, who is a defenseman, scored 8 goals and dished out 42 assists in 82 games with the Jets.
