Austin has been a candidate for several head coaching jobs recently. Just last year he interviewed with four teams. In 2016 the Lions have allowed 22.4 points per game good enough for #13 in the league. In 2014, Austin led the Detroit defense to #2 in the league in total yards given up with 4,815.
