BREAKING: Steve Yzerman releases statement regarding Oilers hiring of Ken Holland

Yzerman and Holland go way back in the Red Wings’ organization

After spending 1997 through 2019 as the Detroit Red Wings’ general manager, Ken Holland had decided to move on to the Edmonton Oilers.

On Tuesday, Holland was officially been named as the Oilers GM and President of Hockey Operations.

Following the announcement, new Red Wings Executive Vice President and GM Steve Yzerman released the following statement.

It should be fun to watch Yzerman and Holland battle it out in the future.
