After spending 1997 through 2019 as the Detroit Red Wings’ general manager, Ken Holland had decided to move on to the Edmonton Oilers.

On Tuesday, Holland was officially been named as the Oilers GM and President of Hockey Operations.
Following the announcement, new Red Wings Executive Vice President and GM Steve Yzerman released the following statement.
