BREAKING: A third Michigan football star announces he is skipping Peach Bowl

So, did you select Michigan to beat Florida in the Peach Bowl in your Bowl Pick em? You may want to rethink that as yet another Wolverines’ star has announced he will not play in the bowl game to focus on his NFL Career.

Michigan running back Karan Higdon announced on his Instagram page that he will not be joining his teammates in the Peach Bowl so he can pursue his NFL dreams.

“These past four years (have) been nothing less than an unforgettable journey. I’ve come in as a young man with little knowledge and I now leave as a Michigan man full of advice and wise words to share,” Higdon said via Instagram. “I’ve battled many trials and tribulations while accomplishing many (milestones) and leaving my footprints at the University of Michigan.

“After a thorough evaluation between my parents and the UM staff, we have deemed that it is in my best interest to not play in the Peach Bowl and to utilize this time to get prepared to pursue my dreams in the NFL. To all my fans and supporters I thank you for the amount of support to not just me but this 2018 team.”

Higdon was Michigan’s leading rusher (No. 19 in the nation) this season with 1,178 yards and 10 touchdowns.

With Higdon out of the picture, you can expect for Chris Evans and Tru Wilson to get the bulk of the rushing attempts.

Higdon joins DE Rashan Gary and LB Devin Bush Jr. as Michigan players who have revealed they will not be playing in the Peach Bowl.

REPORT: NFL team plans on offering Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh an offer he can’t refuse

Here we go again.

A couple of weeks ago, Ohio State alum Cris Carter claimed he had good sources that told him Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh could be interested in leaving the Wolverines to return to the NFL.

From ESPN:

Less than a week later, Harbaugh told ESPN’s Adam Schefter he was staying at Michigan and the rumors were “choreographed.”

“This is a choreographed message that comes up at this time every year before signing day,” Harbaugh told Schefter. “It’s people spreading messages to further their own personal agenda. But I’m on record right here, right now: I’m not going anywhere. I’m staying at Michigan. We have big plans here, and there’s a lot we want to accomplish.”
