The Detroit Lions are bringing the heat early against the Chicago Bears. In the first quarter of Sunday’s game at Ford Field, safety Brian Branch delivered an absolute thunderbolt of a hit on former Lions running back D’Andre Swift.
Swift coughed up the football on the play, and Detroit quickly pounced on it to secure the turnover. The crowd erupted as Branch flexed after the hit, while the Lions’ sideline went wild at the momentum-shifting play.

For Lions fans, the moment carried a little extra sting and satisfaction. Swift, who was drafted by Detroit back in 2020, spent three seasons with the team before being traded. Now, Branch reminded him just how physical this Lions defense can be.
Thanks to Branch’s big-time play, the Lions built on their fast start and hold a 14-7 lead heading into the second quarter.
