According to a report in the New York Post written by Brian Lewis, the Brooklyn Nets are interested in acquiring Detroit Pistons shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, whom the Nets just faced Tuesday night in Brooklyn.

Caldwell-Pope is a restricted free-agent heading into this off-season after he and the Pistons were unable to come to terms on a long-term deal, and the Post suggests that the Nets will be making him a “top target.”
Caldwell-Pope, 24, has played in 66 games for the Pistons this season and is averaging 14.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists, while also putting up career-best marks at the free throw line (83.3 percent) and from downtown (37.1 percent).
The Pistons will be able to match any deal that the Nets offer. Lewis reports that the Nets can offer Caldwell-Pope a deal worth up to $103 million spread over four years. Signing a max deal is certainly on his mind, as evidenced by comments he made in February.
“I see myself as what I'm worth. If they see me as a max player, then that's what I'm worth. If not, then I guess I'm not worth a max player,” he said.
