Week 17 vs. the Green Bay Packers (7-6)
The Packers in December. Why does it seem like it’s always those dread Packers from Wisconsin that are always trying to ruin our fun? But facing the Packers in December, with what could be the division championship game, yikes. The Packers have been hot of late, completely dismantling the Seattle Seahawks this past Sunday. Don’t let the record fool you, the Packers are a good team. And they have one thing the Lions don’t: winning experience.
It goes back to what we here at DSN said a few weeks ago. the Lions are a good team, not a great team–yet. The Lions still have something to prove as far as their winning character goes. The Packers have that. Add to this that Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson have found their groove again, and it could be a long week seventeen.
Hopefully, we are ready to shock the world and win the division for the first time since 1993. But in order to do that, we may very well have to go through the Green and Gold. We can do it, but it’s going to be a stressful, and tough road ahead in the next three weeks. But for the first time in what seems like forever, the Lions do control their own destiny. Now it’s just time to take care of business.
