According to reports, the Buffalo Bills elected to remain in the locker room during the singing of the national anthem and once it was over, they came out to a ton of boos from the fans at Ford Field.
No Lions players kneeled for the anthem but some did stay in the tunnel until it was over.
The Lions won the coin toss, elected to receive, and then proceeded to look awful as they went three-and-out.
Respect USA TRADITIONS or leave the USA.
Season has not started and already a reason again not to watch football again.Players have a right to protest or show their hatred for the USA . They should not do it on my dime…I have to pay to watch them either by going or seeing them on TV. It’s my dime…protest on your off time . No one actually cares about your ideas or thoughts or if you leave the sport…
Respect your fellow African AMERICAN athletes or watch a different sport. We aren’t second class citizens, and you don’t decide when and where we do ANYTHING! You don’t seem to have a clue that the NFL is a business, dependent on fan’s support. When there are even fewer “fans” in the seats than there already are now, and their merchandise is gathering dust on the shelves, these pathetic narcissist players and owners will suddenly become very patriotic. And I think after the events of our TRUE heroes giving up their very lives for strangers Afghanistan, the financial demise of the NFL might be coming far sooner than they ever believed possible. At least I hope so.
I am so done with these over paid unpatriotic clowns . I will never watch another NFL game. If college football follows suit I’m done with college football as well. I have stopped watching NBA last season
