For those of you who think Calvin Johnson and the Detroit Lions are close to becoming family once again, you may want to be sitting down.
On Thursday, Johnson did an interview with Woodward Sports and not only did he say that he is not part of the Lions family but he also revealed that he would have played anywhere rather than retiring from football but the Lions would not allow him to do so.
From LionsWire:
“I’m not back in the family with Lions or anything like that,” Johnson stated. “It would be nice to if they try to resolve things, but that’s neither here nor there.”
“Man, I would’ve went anywhere.”
“We asked would they release me or let me go to another team,” said Johnson. “They wouldn’t.”
Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press recently said that the Lions are going to pay Johnson back the money they demanded from him when he retired but time will tell if that happens or not.
What a diva he is turning out to be. It shows zero class to bad mouth the organization. Zero. The fans were always good to him and he pulls this – a slam to them, to the city, the other players, etc. Grow up pot man.
