The man was known as Megatron, and he helped redefine the position that he starred in during his years in the Motor City.
And now, he’s one step closer to being immortalized in NFL history.

Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson has been included in the nominees for the 2021 NFL Hall of Fame.

Among his career accolades include sporting the best three year stretch by a receiver in NFL history. A three time All-Pro selection, he holds the NFL season record for receiving yards with 1,964.
His Relationship with the Lions since calling it a career in 2016, however, has been strained.
In addition to Johnson, former Lions kicker Jason Hanson has also been included in the list, as well as former Michigan Wolverines DB Charles Woodson.
Hanson holds the record for most seasons played with one team, and owns several multiple kicking and scoring records. Woodson was a part of the Super Bowl winning Green Bay Packers, and was a 9x Pro Bowler.
