On Thursday, former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson said during a Zoom round table that the postponement of the 2020 Big Ten football season would have a negative impact on his business and other businesses across the state of Michigan.
Johnson, who owns cannabis businesses in Michigan, blamed President Donald Trump for the situation we are in when it comes to the coronavirus pandemic.
“What if we had done the same with the federal response?” Johnson said. “What if we had a leader by example that wears his mask that preaches social distancing and believes in the science?”
Johnson noted that Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer took COVID-19 seriously from the beginning and by doing so, he believes she saved a lot of lives.
“The leadership in Michigan here, Gov. Gretchen, took it seriously from day one, locking things down, saving a lot of lives,” he said.
I guess we know who Calvin Johnson will be voting for.
