CB Great Dre Bly Likes Detroit Lions’ CB Darius Slay

Dre Bly is arguably the best cornerback to play for the Detroit Lions in the last 20 years, and he likes what he sees in the Lions youngster Darius Slay. Although he does see where Slay will need to improve his game, Bly thinks that Slay is well on his way. With the veteran CB Mathis proving last season that he can be a leader on this young Detroit secondary, Dre Bly thinks that Darius Slay will be able to learn a lot about the game. Slay has good ball skills, and has been showing them in training camp.

Having a guy on the other side like Rashean makes his adjustment better and he can take it all in and understand what this team is expecting, (Bly) said. With Chris Houston not being here and (Slay) going into his second year, what the team is expecting is high. If he can put it all together and not panic, hell be okay.
