Every team will be wearing their alternate jersey for multiple games during the upcoming season. However, not everyone is digging Detroit’s special new look. Namely, CBS Sports.
The outlet released their grades for each team’s new alternate jersey design, and Detroit received a failing mark. Check out author Pete Blackburn’s reasoning below:
“The Red Wings were kind of screwed here because they’ve basically had one primary uniform for their entire existence and it’s so good that it should never be messed with … but, uh, nice jersey, where’s the rest of it? Grade: F”
While the Red Wings have had several alternate looks over the years, with the most recent editions being for two editions of the NHL Winter Classic as well as the Centennial Classic, none have been as rather simple as the recently unveiled offering.
Do you agree with Blackburn?
