At this point, we really don’t know exactly how the 2020 MLB season will play out or if it will even play out at all, though signs point to it happening.
According to Minor League Baseball reporter Joe Doyle, multiple agents have told him that there will not be a minor league season in 2020 but rather expanded MLB rosters and a developmental league.

It the MiLB season is canceled, and MLB rosters are expanded, there is a much better chance that Detroit Tigers fans will get a chance to see Casey Mize and other top prospects sooner than they thought.
