Back in 2002, as a result of a scandal that involved Chris Webber taking money from Michigan booster Ed Martin, the university decided to take down the Fab Five banners from Crisler. Ever since that day, those banners, which were earned by Webber and his teammates, have been in storage.
Well, times have changed and today is the first day that college athletes are legally able to be paid for their name, image, and likeness (NIL).
On Thursday, Webber took to Twitter asking for the key to the “secret room with Banners.”
Nation, do you think the banners should be put back up in Crisler? Do you think they will be?
Ummmmmmm soooo …whoever has the key please hit me up. I need that key.. you know… the one to the secret room with the Banners…

Very disappointed UM was not prepared for this day with a grandiose apology to Webber. The phony amateurism sham has finally been toppled. Many lives dedicated many years to get these young people the rights to their own lives and influence.
