On April 15th, Justin Verlander and the Detroit Tigers squared off against the Cleveland Indians in an early season Central Division matchup. When all was said and done, Verlander gave up nine runs on 11 hits as the Tigers fell 13-6.
Following the game, the talk of the town was whether or not the Indians were stealing signs from the Tigers. Though Verlander did not come straight out and say it, it was pretty easy to read between the lines to know what he was thinking.

“I guess when you go to multiple signs with nobody on you’re just saying, ‘Hey, it’s a little fishy,'” Verlander said. “But you never know. These guys are a really good lineup. It was just one of those days.”
When the person running the Indians Twitter account caught wind of the sign-stealing accusations, they had a little bit of fun. After Tigers fans fired back, the Indians responded.

Well, on Monday, the tides turned as the Tigers put up seven earned runs on Indians starter Trevor Bauer in just four innings.
Following Bauer’s performance, the Indians once again fired a shot at Tigers fans, joking around about sign-stealing.
Almost seems like our opponent's players know what's coming.

As far as I’m concerned, there is nothing wrong with a good old Twitter war between two rivals.
