Competition emerges for Detroit Lions GM search

According to Adam Schefter, Louis Riddick will interview with the Houston Texans prior to interviewing with the Lions on Friday.

Nation, which job would you rather have?

As soon as the Detroit Lions announced they were firing Bob Quinn as their general manager, one of the first names to come up as a possible replacement was Louis Riddick.

Well, according to Ian Rapoport, the Lions plan to interview Riddick, who has become a fan favorite,  for their vacant general manager opening.

As noted by Rapoport, Riddick would be the first known external candidate to be interviewed by the Lions.

  1. Yes yes yes. I think LR would be great hire. He seems to know player personal very well and think his friendships with former GMs
& Coaches bodes well too. He knows the game. Played the game. Know the League. Knows players. Hire him. Then let him find right coach. Maybe Bieniemy?
