Conference Tournament Preview – Big XII

[tps_header]The Big XII was by far the best conference in America this year. Six teams in the conference are ranked in the AP Top 25, eight teams have winning records and seven of those teams are likely to get into the NCAA tournament. Players like Buddy Hield, Wayne Selden Jr., Perry Ellis, Georges Niang, and Isaiah Taylor make up some of the best players in the country and have contributed to a round-robin feel to the conference.

There should be storylines abound for the Big XII tournament as these schools clash. Quarterfinal match-ups will be pairing Hield’s Sooners against perennially upstart Iowa State, an in-state battle between Texas and Baylor, and possibly matching West Virginia against Tubby Smith‘s suprising Texas Tech Red Raiders squad.

The match-ups seem phenominial and this tournament should be a great way to book-end arguably one of the best regular seasons in Big XII history. It will remain to be seen if anyone can stop a collision course between one of the nation’s best players and the #1 team in the country.[/tps_header]
