[tps_header]Every year it seems that the SEC is just Kentucky and everybody else, and despite that being the expectation entering the season, that was far from the case.
With just under a week until Selection Sunday, there are plenty of teams in the SEC still fighting to prove they belong in the NCAA Tournament. Texas A&M and Kentucky tied for a share of the regular season title, with A&M claiming the number one seed for the upcoming conference tournament.
Behind them, there’s a handful of teams fighting to keep their seasons alive. South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Florida, Alabama and LSU all have NCAA Tournament dreams, and for most of them, an SEC Tournament Championship is the only way there.
Even with Texas A&M and Kentucky up top, this conference is as wide open as any in the nation, and it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see somebody seeded No. 3 or lower to steal a bid into March Madness.[/tps_header]
