Aidan Hutchinson working at new postion with Detroit Lions
When the Detroit Lions selected EDGE Aidan Hutchinson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the expectation was that he would eventually develop into one of the top pass rushers in the league.
Though it is EXTREMELY early in his career (the guy has played in five games), Hutchinson has not exactly lived up to the hype he had coming out of Michigan.
Watching the games, it is not as much as Hutchinson has been bad, but it is noticeable that he has looked a bit small compared to opposing offensive tackles.

What position is Aidan Hutchinson working at?
The Lionsโ defense has been absolutely horrendous through five weeks and head coach Dan Campbell has made it clear that he would look at everything.
One thing Campbell has mentioned was taking a hard look at Hutchinson, and making sure that the coaching staff was putting him in spots where he can be more successful.
On Friday, Lions LBs coach Kelvin Sheppard spoke to the media and he confirmed that Hutchinson has been working with the linebackers. Sheppard noted that the decision to have Hutch work out with the linebackers for part of the time is part of the teamโs quest to put him in the best position to make an impact.
Sheppard added that he and DL coach Todd Wash have always collaborated while coaching together.
Whatโs next for the Detroit Lions?
The Lions, who are currently 1-4, are coming off a much-needed bye week but they had better be ready.
On Sunday, the Lions will take on a tough Dallas Cowboys team that will be looking to bounce back from a loss to the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.
Will Aidan Hutchinson be playing some linebacker against the Cowboys? Time will tell.
