Heading into the 2020 season, the hope was that Matt Patricia would somehow pull off a miracle by turning around the Detroit Lions. Though that was a pipe dream, some believed that he could still make the Lions’ defense formidable and that the offense would do the rest.
Well, as we know now, the Lions defense was the worst in franchise history and Patricia was fired before the season even concluded.
But, could Patricia be in line to land a new gig for the 2021 season?
On Tuesday night, it was announced that the Houston Texans decided to hire Nick Caserio to be their next general manager and many believe Bills OC Brian Daboll could be hired as head coach.
It is interesting to note that both Caserio and Daboll worked together with the New England Patriots, along with Patricia.
If Daboll is hired as head coach, don’t be surprised if he brings in Patricia to call the defense.
One name lots of Patriot-connected people believe will be in play for the Houston HC job now: Bills OC Brian Daboll. Daboll came up with new Texans GM Nick Caserio in New England, and helped bring Jack Easterby there from KC.
And his work with young QBs speaks for itself.

Nation, do you think Patricia will be back in the NFL for the 2021 season?
