In case you have not yet heard, the Detroit Lions rookie Jameson Williams started practicing on Monday. When Williams was selected by the Lions with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, he told anyone who would listen that he would be ready to go by the time training camp rolled around. But when Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell spoke to reporters following the draft, they made it pretty clear that they would take things slow and be as smart as possible with Williams, who was still recovering from a torn ACL.

What did Dan Campbell say about Jameson Williams?
On Monday, Campbell spoke to reporters and he did not want to give an exact time for when Williams will officially make his NFL debut with the Lions.
“Let’s see where he’s at,” Campbell said. “Because really, the rehab that he’s done now, even though this is technically not practice if you will, it’s more walk-through mode. The things that he’ll do out there, starting (Monday) out there live are much more football oriented. We’ll just see where he can go and see how fast he can get there.”
Campbell also talked about what Williams will bring to the table once he is able to suit up.
“I know this, he can run,” Campbell added. “He can run, and that’s not hard to do. You either got it or you don’t, and he’s got it. So, in that regard, he can help.”
“There’ll be a learning curve, as there is with all those guys,” the head coach explained. “But anything we ask him to do is gonna be things that we feel like he does well and he can help us with that will set him up to have success as well.”
Nation, when do you think Jameson Williams will make his NFL debut? Do you think he could have a big impact for the Lions down the stretch?
