The Detroit Lions had a golden opportunity to pick up their third win of the season when they took on the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon but it was not meant to be as QB Tim Boyle threw a bad interception on the Lions final offensive play of the game.
Following the game, the Boyle admitted that he did not correctly identify the Falcons defensive setup, thinking they were playing man when they were actually in a zone.
On Monday, Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke to the media and he explained that he wished he would have dialed up some pre-snap motion so that Boyle could have gotten a better read on the Falcons defense.
You can bet Campbell will learn from this.
