Following the Detroit Lions' 48-42 loss to the Buffalo Bills, head coach Dan Campbell confirmed that cornerback Khalil Dorsey, who suffered a gruesome leg injury during the game, will be out for the remainder of the 2024 season.
Campbell compared Dorsey’s injury to that of EDGE Aidan Hutchinson, who sustained a broken tibia and fibula earlier this season. Dorsey was injured while breaking up a third-down pass from Josh Allen to Keon Coleman in the second quarter. The injury left Dorsey unable to return to the game.
Losing Dorsey is a significant blow to the Lions' defense, which has already been dealing with multiple injuries. As the team pushes toward the playoffs, they will need to adjust their secondary to account for his absence. Despite the setback, Detroit remains in control of its playoff destiny and will look to regroup for the final stretch of the regular season.
