When Jared Goff tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, Detroit Lions backup QB Tim Boyle knew that he had to prepare for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons as if he was going to be the starter.

Following the game, Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke about Boyle’s performance in his second career start.
“I thought he functioned fast and efficiently,” Campbell said.
