On Thursday, April 29, the wait will finally be over as the 2021 NFL Draft will kick off and we will find out what the Detroit Lions will end up doing with the No. 7 overall pick.
On Tuesday, former Detroit Lions quarterback turned ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky spoke on a conference call and he said he does not see the Lions taking a quarterback at No. 7 but rather drafting some offensive or defensive line help. Orlovsky also noted that trading down with the New England Patriots could also be in the mix.

One person who agrees with Orlovsky’s thinking is draft ‘guru’ Mel Kiper who has the Lions trading the Patriots for a haul in his dueling NFL mock draft with Toddy McShay.
